Andre Benford, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Andre Benford is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Benford Protection Group, a Chicago-based, minority- and veteran-owned security services firm established in 2015. As CEO, Andre leads the company’s strategic vision, operational growth, and leadership team with a steadfast commitment to professionalism, innovation, and community-first security solutions.
A decorated military veteran and accomplished law enforcement professional, Andre brings over 27 years of combined experience in public safety, criminal investigations, and private security management. His expertise spans high-risk operations, corporate security planning, senior housing protection, and emergency response coordination—making him uniquely equipped to address complex safety challenges with discipline and adaptability.
Known for his results-driven leadership style, Andre has built a reputation for developing trusted partnerships across the public and private sectors. He has played a pivotal role in cultivating longstanding relationships with business leaders, municipal partners, elected officials, and law enforcement agencies throughout Chicago and beyond.
Under his leadership, Benford Protection Group has grown into a trusted provider for clients such as the Chicago Housing Authority, FEMA, the Democratic National Convention, and Northern Illinois University, delivering security services that are not only effective but deeply aligned with community values.
Andre is an active member of ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) and continues to advance the field through ongoing training, leadership, and service.
Rauf O. Durosinmi, Chief Financial Officer
Rauf is a distinguished finance executive recognized for his exceptional ability to drive financial success across diverse organizations. Currently, at the helm of the finance department at Benford Protection Group, he brings extensive expertise in strategic financial planning, operational efficiency, and risk management. His career is marked by significant achievements, including enhancing profitability, implementing effective ERP systems, and revitalizing underperforming businesses. Rauf’s strong leadership and analytical skills render him an invaluable asset to organizations aiming to improve their financial performance. He holds a Master of Science in Management, with a concentration in Business Data Analytics and Finance, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Economics, with a minor in Accounting, from Lagos State University. This educational background underscores his commitment to excellence in accounting and finance. In addition to his professional endeavors, Rauf enjoys traveling, music, and soccer, reflecting a well-rounded character that complements his impressive accomplishments.
Kenny McKinney, Executive Director of Business Development
Kenny is a Security Professional and a Retired Military Veteran, offering 40+ years of proven international and homeland experience directing guard forces. He has experience formulating and negotiating multi-million-dollar security service contracts across various sectors such as oil & gas (British Petroleum & Chevron), coal (Kaltim Prima Coal), forestry (APRIL Group), residential (Chicago Housing Authority & Related Management), and other commercial business sectors. Kenny is a detailed strategic security operational business planner, capable of directing, projecting, and executing corporate goals and objectives pertaining to contract compliance requirements and client service support at the executive level. He is a certified instructor actively training security officers with non-lethal security tools (baton, O.C. pepper spray, and handcuffs). He is an active member of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) International and ILEETA (International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainer Association). Kenny enjoys playing the guitar and working out in the gym and is an avid golfer.

Curtis Ford, Executive Director of Operations
Curtis Ford has an impressive 32 years of experience with the State of Illinois. Curtis spent the first 12 years of his career with the Illinois Department of Corrections, where he last served as a captain. In this position, Curtis oversaw the daily operations of a penal institution and demonstrated strong leadership and operational management skills. For the past 20 years, Curtis has been with the Office of the Inspector General for the State of Illinois as the Director of Investigations, where he gained extensive experience managing complex investigations and overseeing critical operations before retirement. His investigations resulted in thousands of dollars recovered from misappropriated funds, multiple criminal prosecutions, and multiple employee terminations due to misconduct and malfeasance. He possesses a wealth of experience and strategic insight, which will help enhance operational effectiveness.
